Where we study
We have recently moved to the Anderson Park and Rec Community Center at 1887 Howard Street in Anderson, CA. It’s a large cinder block building on the corner. If you show up but don’t see anyone (there are no windows) just knock on one of the doors. We’re inside and will come let you in. If you call ahead of time we’ll watch for you.
When are classes?
Classes are Mondays and Fridays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. We’re often asked if we offer private lessons and right now we are unable to accommodate those requests. Aikido is best learned with a partner or group of people so you have different body types and personalities to learn with and know. We don’t have classes for children at this point but may add those in the future. For now, we’re focused on ages 14 and up.
How to sign up
To enroll please go to the site at Anderson Park & Rec. Once there click on the “classes” button. Now, scroll to the bottom and click on “Aikido Shizenkai” under “other”. From there click on the month you want to join (let’s say August). You should see where you can create an account or log in. You’re nearly there and should be able to add the class and pay. Classes are $45/month.
If you experience problems, come to the dojo and we’ll sign you up there. You can also visit the Anderson Park and Rec offices and they will sign you up there or you can call them at (530) 378-6656 and sign up over the phone.
